About the event
Complex communicators may use sign language, ipad apps, keyboards, letterboards, and/or behaviors to communcate in addition to their verbal use. It can also mean that your child is verbal but has times (e.g., when anxious or stressed) when their words are not accessible to them. It can also mean that your child uses movie scripts, video game phrases, or other seemingly borrowed speech to communicate. If your child uses behaviors to communicate like hitting, scratching, biting, self-injurious behavior, Â or pulling you to something they want, this is your group too. The needs are commonly more complex from GI issues to safety concerns. Come be amongst other parents who understand and have gathered supports that work for them to share. Â Come share those that have worked for you. Can't wait to see you. I think this is going to be a fantastic group!
